They were very nice and understanding and I have a date for a telephone interview with a debt advisor in a few weeks time. It’s going to be a long two weeks but I am filled with optimism for the future.
I will now need to pull together all my debts, who I owe what, whether it is secured or unsecured, the stage the relationship is at e.g. CCJ’s yet, income, expenditure, bank statements and every relevant detail I can muster about my life. Time to get to work.

HI there!
(Not sure if you´re the mydebtdiary who left a comment on my website, but whether you are or not….)
Well done for phoning the CCCS. I´ve been with them for 9 months or so now and I don´t regret for a minute calling them.
Good luck sorting out all your stuff – I know what a nightmare it can be and also how frightening it is seeing how much you really owe when it´s all added up on one sheet of paper!
The two weeks waiting for your appointment are really the worst two weeks, as your creditors keep phoning you up and going over the same stuff over and over again as though you haven´t spoken to them before, but it does stop eventually, I promise.
Just hang in there and try not to worry! And keep writing down what´s going on – it helps to get it off your chest!
The very very best of luck!
